Outline of Denver Public Library Service Styles Implementation Plan
The Denver Public Library continues a tradition of excellence with plans for a new and innovative approach to library service for the people of Denver. Extensive research and analysis have been conducted, revealing changing communities and changing needs. Engagement of the community with focus groups and community conversations has provided both information and insight. A 50-member Community Advisory Committee has endorsed a concept that targets and improves services to the changing needs of traditional and new library users. With a year-long information-gathering phase completed, the Service Styles Implementation Plan provides further detail on the service elements, phasing and costs for new service designs in each existing location, as well as preliminary planning work for three new libraries. It is a tool to be used as a living document by the Library Commission, Library staff, and library planners to guide the work of the Denver Public Library for the next phase of its development.
