- I just saw the Time 100 list posted on your web site, with links to make it easy to reserve each book. What a great idea! I hope that you will save this somewhere online so that throughout the year we can continue to work our way through the list.
- I just wanted to thank the library for having such a great collection of books and DVDs, it is fabulous!!
- I am a rabid fan of the library staff at the Eugene Field Branch Library. I always make the trip just to enjoy this staff and their services. They know me by name, in fact they know many people by first and last name, and are always greeting them as they come in. And they're funny! They treat each other with the same respect and good nature that they treat their patrons. Always helpful, NEVER rude or put out, no matter what issue is standing at the counter. This staff creates an atmosphere of kindness, fun, intelligence, good cheer, and just plain old welcome. Thank you for these folks.
- I thank you profusely for creating an eBook section on your web site. I absolutely love it and am pleased to discover it. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
- I just wanted to say thank you for carrying so many DVDs and videos of Indian-Hindi-Bollywood movies. The DPL holdings are really great--better than any local video stores, and some of the online DVD rental places. So kudos to the staff who are handling the DVDs!
- I guess it's our human nature to be more critical of shortcomings than to be grateful for competence and service. I have been very impressed with many of your staff members' commitment to public service. One branch in particular comes to mind, the Blair Caldwell Library. They always wear a smile and extend every courtesy to customers. I felt it was important to pass on my appreciation. Thanks.
- I know a while back the City Council was questioning the library's purchase of video and DVD material for its patrons. I just want to say a big Thank You for doing this- I don't always get to the movie theater (too expensive) and I appreciate the ability to request videos and DVDs from the library. The library is truly a community resource. Thanks again.
- I'm very impressed by your organization's dynamic, content-rich web site! Nice job!
- I belong to the Mystery Online Book Club and wanted to thank you. I really enjoy and appreciate the club, it makes it easier to order books from the bookmobile because now I know what I want to read and has introduced me to new authors. Thank you again!!
- Hi, I would just like to let you know that your library (Central) is the BEST! I would say that your staff (e.g., Circulation Department Staff) makes it even BESTER (ok, librarians, please excuse this made-up word). They are helpful, courteous, and pleasant. It is the best place for many of us to come to your library for a break from the stressful daily work. We consider it a perk. Thank you again for making the library such a nice place for us.
- I appreciate your quick response and the level of professionalism that is always displayed by the DPL! What a refreshing change to many of the organizations I deal with!
- My experience with the Denver Public library has been outstanding! You have every kind of book I want and are most helpful in getting books from other libraries. I am truly grateful to live in a city that has such a wonderful resource. Thank you and all who work with you at the library!
- The staff, especially the people at the checkout desk, are so friendly. They feel like friends. They are helpful and informed, as are the reference staff. Thank you!
- Thank you for the great service you provide when requesting materials be placed on hold and transported to my local branch of the library. Your competence and alacrity is appreciated.
- Thank you for doing such a great job with your web interface to the library. I use it all the time.
- I love your Harry Potter countdown clock!! I have bookmarked it and sent the link to several friends and coworkers.
- I would like to tell you I am so happy for the help I found at the libraries. I really appreciate. Thanks a lot for everything you do for us.
- I wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoy and appreciate the "Featured Titles" section at Bear Valley Library. As a mother of two young children, I get very little (read: none) library time for myself and typically leave the library in a rush as somebody is melting down. The Featured Titles section, conveniently located next to the check-out counter, enables me to grab a book or two that somebody, somewhere has deemed a decent read. I would also like to thank the staff at Bear Valley for more than kindly tolerating my usually crazy exit, and often helping to keep my girls happy while I check out, by offering a toy to play with, stickers, or just simple conversation!
- I just stumbled across your movie recommendations. I am on the "hold list" for three films, eagerly anticipating some very good films/movies. Thanks.
- The SmartyPants librarian was so kind in helping me with my question. She gave me over 20 pages of info. I will use SmartyPants again!
- I wanted to tell you that the staff at Smiley are wonderful. They have such a small amount of space to work with but they do it!
- There are times in your life when a person realizes the terrible bankruptcy, the inadequacy of the spoken word to convey one's delight and overwhelming ecstasy at the majesty of human creation. Today, today is (choked back sobbing) just such a day for yours truly. Thank you for such a fun, user friendly, aesthetically pleasing, hypoallergenic web page.
- We have lived in Denver for four years to take advantage of the many cultural activities, an important one of which is the Denver Public Library. The staff and volunteers are excellent. Please continue the open and accessible nature which includes all social and economic groups.
- I came to Denver on August 28th, 2004. During my stay in Denver, I visited your library every week and I return to India with a feeling that I spent 70 days very usefully. I read many novels and literary books. I watched quite a good number of DVDs and video cassettes. Particularly, I got an opportunity to watch Oedipus Rex, a great classic. I enjoyed watching video cassettes of Road Trips-travel videos on the USA. A FANTASTIC LIBRARY. How I wish I could stay for another two months so that I can read and learn more about this great country-USA! Used Book Sale was really great. A BIG THANKS!
- The Senior Librarian at work in Burnham Hoyt is the most efficient, courteous and professional librarian I have ever dealt with at DPL.
- I am voicing my appreciation to the Bookmobile staff for their unrelenting efforts put forth. We at Windsor Gardens look forward to their cheerfulness and dedication. If there is a book or tape that isn't on the shelf, you can be sure it will be there the following week if it is in their power. Seniors are often overlooked simply because we are seniors. The Bookmobile staff do by example. Looking forward to every Friday for the Bookmobile!
- I wanted to write and say thank you for having the gay and lesbian film fest this month. I attended this past Monday night for the showing of "Boys Don't Cry" and thoroughly enjoyed the film and the discussion. It is so nice to have a local public library that is progressive enough to feature alternative films on topics that aren't so readily embraced by society as a whole. Thank you very much.
- What a beautiful, wonderful, cheerful, delightful children's web site! I could spend hours checking out all your pages and possibilities! I even tried your coloring book! Awesome!!!!! I made some copies of your pages just for fun! Thanks for making this site so friendly and adorable!
- The staff at the Ford-Warren branch is absolutely the best. In fact, I've moved a few times around Denver and this staff is the best and most helpful I have experienced out of perhaps 4-5 branches.
- My husband and I attended the showing of "Grapes of Wrath" last night. We would like to commend the library for presenting such a fine program. We hope that you will continue to show films next year.
- You people are doing good keep it up, I like that I can just renew books I checked out at home without taking the pain to come to the library for it.
- Downtown Denver Public Library is wonderful! I love the services and displays. I think your library is a model of community/government enterprise and I’m lucky to take part. Thanks very much!
- Your web site is impressive! The playable classical library is a nice new feature. You know how to build a web site. Nice job!
- Kudos to your staff in the Children’s Library. Cheerful, courteous customer service seems to be a rare thing these days and it is very refreshing to be helped by someone willing to go the distance for a patron, with a smile, no less! I love DPL, keep up the great work!
- Your library is the finest! Spacious, wonderful people, and the book selection is marvelous! I have enjoyed your business many times. I especially enjoy the location. Thanks for your services.
- Wow! I just reviewed some of your new Health site and it's really impressive. Congratulations on doing such a terrific job organizing a huge amount of useful information in one place!
- Just a quick note to let you know how much I love the Denver library system! I use the Ross University Hills Branch. People are always friendly, the lines are short and with your great “library loan” system, I can always get any book/DVD/tape that I want! I use the online/web catalog at home and get notification when my books are in. It’s super!
- I just wanted to let you know how much I love the DPL! It really is one of the finest resources and shining stars of living in Denver. My favorite branch, although I haven’t visited them all, is by far the Field Branch library. The staff is so warm, helpful, and truly goes the extra mile to make my individual visit as perfect as humanly possible. They know their customers on a level that says “We care about you” and they make sure to personally greet everyone. I just can’t say enough about Field or the DPL!
- I agree with the Westword review of your web site. It just gets better and better.
- We visited the downtown library and researched genealogy and the old city directories. The 5th floor genealogy history department was wonderful! The staff was exceptionally helpful. Their knowledge and suggestions enabled us to find quite a bit of new information in our few hours there. The only disappointing thing was that the library was closed Wednesday, our only other available time. These budget cuts are not good for anyone, are they? Anyway, thank you for your excellent library, especially the 5th floor resources and staff.
- I am writing this letter to the staff of this library. Because of budget cutbacks I was let go from a company that I had worked for for 3 years. I came to this library quite often to start a job search. After 2 months of using your computers here in the library I was able to land a job via the internet. Thank you for being so supportive and letting me use your computers for those many hours that I spent.
- I am so happy with Bear Valley and Hadley libraries: the books, tapes and mostly the people behind the desk. Whenever I go to checkout a book, they always ask me if I’ve found everything and is there anything they can help me with. They are so friendly, always remember people’s name and ask how I am. So nice.
- Congratulations on the "Best of…" Your webpage rocks! Glad it is being acknowledged.
