Docent Program: A Special Volunteer Opportunity

 

The Docent Program at the Denver Public Library

You can help Library staff deliver top-quality service at the Central Library or at one of the 22 Denver branch libraries. We are looking for volunteers with a variety of talents and the ability to work with a diverse group of people. Bilingual docents are needed in all docent assignments.

A Docent (dó-sent) is:

a. A recognized teacher or lecturer (not on the salaried staff).
b. A knowledgeable guide (especially one who conducts visitors through the
institution and delivers a commentary on the collections).
