The Beasts of Buchenwald

The Fresh City Life My Branch Colorado Authors Series presents Flint Whitlock, author of The Beasts of Buchenwald, this Sunday, February 12, at 2 p.m. at Schlessman.

Mr. Whitlock is an author and military historian specializing in World War II. Three of his books have been finalists for the Colorado Book Award. He has appeared on The History Channel and in various documentaries, and often leads battlefield tours. For the past two years, he has been the editor-in-chief of a national magazine, WWII History. One of his most recent books is The Beasts of Buchenwald: Karl & Ilse Koch, Human-Skin Lampshades, and the War-Crimes Trial of the Century, which details the lives of the Nazi couple who ran Germany’s infamous Buchenwald concentration camp from 1937 to 1941.
