Sending out a search party -- for signs of intelligent life
If the Mayans were wrong and life goes on -- then the quest for a meaningful life will continue as well. And here's a great way to re-ignite your journey:
There's a revival of the fantastic Jane Wagner play, The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe, set for mid-November and you're invited on a field trip to see this spectacular, Tony-award winning show on Friday, November 9. Originally starring Lily Tomlin in a one-woman tour de force, Jefferson County Open School is spreading the love to a cast of dedicated student actors. A fun night at the theatre and a chance to show your love for arts education and support theatre geeks! Tickets are $12 and include VIP reserved seating and complimentary beverage. All proceeds benefit this underfunded theatre program for middle and high school students. Registration is required; register here or call 720.865.1206.
Fresh City Life will be partnering with Jefferson County Open School's theatre department on several upcoming projects -- notably, an evening of staged readings by students of poetry and prose from the book I Never Saw Another Butterfly. This event is set for Spring 2013 and will coincide with Light/The Holocaust and Humanity Project being spearheaded by The Colorado Ballet.
Field Trip: The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe
