What's healthier than eating your vegetables? Learn how to grow your own with Vegetable Gardening Techniques for a Bountiful Harvest on Wednesday, May 22 at 6 p.m. at the Ross-Cherry Creek Branch. Learn how to make your garden a haven of delicious organic veggies throughout the season. Learn about the All American Selection Vegetable Winners that can provide high yields and insect resistance, while keeping you and your family in healthy meals.

Have a little one to feed? Try making your own Happy, Healthy Baby Foods. Clelia McVay from Happy Baby Foods joins us to discuss making your own baby food at home, how to look for allergies, and making sure your baby gets all the nutrition she needs to grow. Sunday, June 2 at 2 p.m. at the Sam Gary Branch.

Be good to yourself AND our earth and Keep it Local, Make it Healthy! Beverly Grant of Mo Betta Greens Market will teach you about local produce--what to get, where to get it and when, and demo some recipes of what you can do with your farmer's market bounty. Monday, June 3, 6 p.m. at the Schlessman Family Branch.

Ready to get that bike out for a healthier commute, or some active family time? Make sure you know how to Maintain Your Bicycle. Folks from the Denver Bicycle Cafe will teach you the ABCs of bike care, what you can do yourself, and some basics of bicycle commuting and safety. Saturday, June 8 at 10 a.m. at the Schlessman Family Branch.

Get away from processed foods and learn how It's Always Better Homemade with Monica Kadillak. It's worth the effort to make things for yourself! Mayonnaise, mustard, yogurt and more! Recipes & samples included. Choose from 2 sessions: Monday, June 10 at 6:30 p.m. at the Schlessman Family Branch, or Saturday, June 15 at 2 p.m. at Smiley.
