Did you hear about the babies' arrival? Do you remember spring at the zoo when you were young?
I have fond memories of visiting the Denver Zoo as a child and seeing all the spring babies. On January 18 & February 10, the Zoo welcomed palm cockatoo babies. As the weather warms and days lengthen more babies will arrive. We at the library can help satisfy the curious mind both young and older. We have books and DVDs about animals.
As a 40-something librarian who had a great-grandmother live to be 106 years old, I have wondered if there were steps I could take to make all my years healthy ones. I have read several books that explained how important it is to move. The authors take a sensible approach. We will not live forever, but by moving and taking other simple steps, we can live healthier, longer lives. Join me in moving!
