Come learn the basic hand weaving technique used to create the “Ojo de Dios” (God's Eye) symbol. This workshop is a fantastic opportunity to play with color and is a great hands-on activity for all ages.
This workshop is presented by Chicano Humanities and Arts Council (CHAC), a collective of artists dedicated to promoting Chicano/Latino art and culture. There is no cost to attend and light refreshments will be provided.
We will use basic sewing stitches to hand sew a wool felt case for your iPod or cell phone. Possible embellishments include beads, embroidery, and a pocket for your ear buds or USB cable.
