Have a project you want to work on but don’t have your own sewing machine? Want to get some quiet sewing time in away from other demands? We’ll have our sewing machines set up with basic thread colors, and someone will be here to answer basic questions.
Byers Branch Library is proud to present Chicano Humanities & Arts Council (CHAC) Gallery on Saturday, June 21 as part of our CONNECTING VECINOS series. CHAC Gallery will give a brief history of Mexican metalsmithing and present a workshop about the basic techniques for making tin art. Each participant will make their own piece of tin art, whether by utilizing a traditional pattern or by creating an original design.
