Learn the basic stitches of hand sewing needed to make a sampler. Each participant will be given a kit providing the tools and instructions on the basic stitches: running; back; buttonhole; blanket; hemming; and applique.

The plan was for a short jaunt: two authors would spend nine months putting together a small, pretty guide to wools, with color pictures of sheep and of locks of wool, along with summary information for quick reference use. Ha! Come hear the inside story of the little project that grew, and of the more-than-four years Deb Robson spent researching, spinning, and writing about every animal-grown fiber the team could reasonably get its hands on.
