This exciting workshop will include warm up, exercises with masks, discovering emotions and much more all focused on the themes of Homecoming/Return of the Warrior. With this workshop, you’ll be ready to explore the subtleties of this ancient craft. Fresh City Life has been creating new knitters since Fall of 2004 with the aid of our expert knitting teachers and the relaxing 3-part classes. Learn the basics and we’ll help you move on to more advanced knitting as your confidence grows. All materials provided; $10 materials fee. The ultra portable, easy-to-learn cousin of knitting; our beginning crochet class is a great way to take up this retro hobby. Instructor Christa Rogers will share tips, techniques and her love of this fiber craft in this 3-part workshop. And once you have the basics down, Christa will share a handful of great patterns for you to choose from for your first project. This workshop will also be a great foundation for our advanced class coming up this summer – Hyperbolic Crochet – a fantastic approach to crochet that leads to very sculptural pieces.

Every Monday evening the Fresh City Lounge is open for freestyle stitchers to come in and enjoy the company of other knitters.

Based on Amy Tan’s spectacular book of the same name, The Joy Luck Club has inspiration, humor and even some tears. It’s a joyful and complicated story – worth watching and even re-watching.
