Dr. Seth Tucker leads this two-part workshop on writing poetry. The first session will be focused on getting your thoughts down on paper – and the poetic elements that change words to art. Return for the second evening and talk about bringing an editor’s eye to your writing. Students will share written work and assist each other through critiques. Seth’s poetry manuscript, “Mormon Boy,” won the 2011 Elixir Press Editor’s Poetry Prize, and was published in early 2012. Learn more about Seth at lighthousewriters.org. Tuesdays, August 7 and 21, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
