Finding another income is critical for so many during these hard economic times. The audience will be introduced to traditional and non-traditional options, how to find a second job that fits, their benefits and disadvantages and the effect of work on SSI disability benefits.
If you need computer access and/or help to apply for a job, type your resume, study for a test (such as the GED), learn a language, research health information, or do homework, then this is the place for you. Laptops and a printer are available. Assistants will be there to help you. Your children are welcome to come with you; they may do their homework, read, use the children's computers, or play with our toys. The Plaza takes place on Mondays 6:30-7:30, Tuesdays 4:30-7:30, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 3:30-5:30.
Peter Roper of the Denver Bicycle Cafe will cover all the basics you need to know to maintain your bike, including air, brakes, chain, fixing and cleaning your bike, and the tools and parts you need. Special emphasis on getting your bike ready for winter riding, and what you need to know to keep on cycling through all seasons!
