Born in Peru, internationally recognized guitarist Manuel Molina began his career as a musician at a very young age. At age seventeen, he became the youngest conductor of the Peruvian National Symphony. He travels extensively and plays solo guitar tours all over the world. Denver Public Library is pleased to be hosting Manuel Molina for this afternoon of exceptional Latin solo guitar.

Fresh City Life is heralding the New Year with a lively concert in our great hall. Think of Mardi Gras on Bourbon Street in New Orleans, and you’re almost there! Place the influence of Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Benny Goodman, Bix Beiderbecke, Professor Longhair, and Louis Jordan in a big mixing bowl, and you have the “gumbo” of Fat City Mardi Gras Band. While maintaining an authentic down-home sound, this group has received critical acclaim for their musical prowess. Get your wiggle on with a little Fat City Mardi Gras Band hot sauce.
