Some form of the violin/fiddle can be found in most cultures around the world. Sandra Wong takes the audience on an exploration of many of these musical worlds on nyckelharpa (the Swedish keyed fiddle) and violin/fiddle ranging from the haunting to the joyful; from the classical to the foot stomping; from the Middle-East to the Fjords of Norway, the Appalachian mountains and many places in between.

Mike Fitzmaurice and Jean Bolger are Big Fiddle/Little Fiddle. Mike plays the double bass (big fiddle!) and Jean plays the violin (little fiddle!). They are both members of the Irish music group Colcannon. For this performance they’ll be playing all sorts of sounds – low and high – to surprise and delight.

Hailed as "one of the very best acoustic guitarists in the world" by All Music Guide, Michael DeLalla will kick off our 2014 Weekend Music Series with his debut concert at DPL. DeLalla serves up a delicious brew of solo guitar compositions and arrangements of traditional tunes gathered worldwide, steeped with his classical training and seasoned with his jazz, Celtic and folk stylings.

Fresh City Life is honored to be hosting a free performance of the Denver Gay Men's Chorus in its 32nd season. This spectacular event will feature almost 200 men. Their angelic singing, bright spirits, and holiday cheer will enhance your season. This concert will include favorite holiday carols, and plenty of inspirational singing and maybe even an audience sing-along. Come see why the Denver Gay Men's Chorus is the premiere chorus in Denver. The finale event for Fresh City Life in 2013!
