Returning for an encore performance, the Castle Rock Community Ringers make incredible music using only the classic choir bells – and these musicians know how to create a joyful noise! The well-regarded Castle Rock Community Ringers will show us how to ‘throw cares away’ with their thoughtful blend of holiday and secular songs all created with perfectly pitched handbells. Don’t miss this final concert of the year as the Castle Rock Community Ringers fill up our great hall with their celebratory music.

Fresh City Life is honored to be hosting a free performance of the Denver Gay Men's Chorus in its 31st season. This spectacular event will feature almost 200 men. Their angelic singing, bright spirits, and holiday cheer will enhance your season. This concert will include favorite holiday carols, magnificent settings of "Gloria" and "Hodie Christus Natus Est," an audience sing-a-long, and plenty of inspirational singing, including a stunning arrangement of "I Heard the Bells". The concert will close with the fastest version of "The Twelve Days of Christmas" ever performed.

This hot trio has been bringing their cool nostalgic sounds to packed performances for four years. Reveille 3 draws much of its material from the recordings of the Andrew Sisters, but they are at their very best singing the songs we all cherish from holidays past. This is their third annual holiday concert at Denver Public Library and Fresh City Life is pleased to host these winter songbirds. With precision harmonies and big band rhythms, Reveille 3 will always be Denver’s golden girls.

Jazz pianist Marc Sabatella debuts these two fantastic pieces and others in a special concert in our Vida Ellison Gallery. This concert represents a longtime desire of Fresh City Life programming to bring Rhapsody in Blue to our customers – and talented Marc Sabatella and his string quartet will finally make this wish a reality – and superbly.

Learn creative dances in a safe, noncompetitive class structure. Kids learn basic dance form and fundamentals in lyrical, jazz and limited hip hop dance styles, and get an opportunity to perform individually or in small groups. Denver's exciting and diverse female singers come together for this night celebrating the fun, sexy and double-entendred music of the American songbook. Denver Public Library’s Fresh City Life plays host to this special event that highlights fine music and Denver’s most spectacular voices. When you hear Rosemary Clooney singing Too Old to Cut the Mustard and Mae West crooning A Guy What Takes His Time, you know both these ladies are telling two stories: the catchy song you’re listening to and the read-between-the-lines lyrics that might get you banned in Boston.

Sitar Concert with Chris ‘Citrus’ Sauthoff

When George Harrison and The Beatles befriended Ravi Shankar, the traditional instrument of classical Indian music, the sitar, was embraced by American audiences. It is often heard in world music; its sympathetic tones marrying well with a wide range of musical genres. Chris ‘Citrus’ Sauthoff brings his signature style to the sitar, creating music that has been described as citradelic. Fresh City Life is thrilled to host Citrus for this concert highlighting the poetic and lyrical music of the sitar.
