Fresh City Life will be celebrating Denver PrideFest this Saturday with a lemonade stand and button making station on Acoma Plaza. This will be our second annual stint hosting a refreshment stand in the name of one of the greatest GLBT authors in history -- Oscar Wilde. During a promotional tour in 1882, Oscar actually came to Denver and lectured at the opera house here and in Leadville. He stayed as the guest of Horace Tabor and was well-received by most of Denver's citizens.
Fresh City Life is celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a booth just outside the west entrance of the library. Look for our bright, fiesta-colored tissue paper flowers! Our friends at Whole Foods Market have donated lemonade for you and we'll have all of our button makers in action so that you can make a little keepsake of the day.
