New eMedia Feature: Recommend for library purchase or buy it now

In the eMedia catalog, after performing a search or choosing a subject, select “Additional titles” to search or browse the complete collection of eBooks and audio eBooks available for the library to purchase. You can recommend up to 30 titles per year for the library to purchase.

If a title is not listed in “Available titles” it is not available in digital format for libraries. When you recommend a title, you’ll be given the option to be placed on the hold list or to be notified that the title was purchased. At this time, we are unable to notify you if a recommendation is not purchased.

Use “Buy it Now” to purchase your own copy of an eBook or audio eBook you’d like to own, or don’t want to wait for. Any purchases made using a Buy it link from Denver Public Library’s eMedia site will support the library.

Check for full-text and request articles

If you find an article in a library database that doesn't have full-text, here's what you can do:

First, click the "Check for full-text" link to find out whether any of our other library databases has the full text. The library subscribes to databases from different sources and each source has a different set of journals and magazines they offer in full-text. The check for full-text button will open the "Denver Public Library Citation Linker," which will determine whether the journal is available in any of our other databases. If no other sources are found, you can request the article through Interlibrary Loan. Use the link on the Citation Linker page to log into our RequestIt! service.
