The CTC’s resident job seeking experts have created a Resume Basics class designed to give you the know-how to create a sleek, professional resume that highlights your good sides and downplays your not-so-good sides.

Did you take an Excel class and need a little help practicing what you learned? Are you looking for work but aren't quite sure how to upload your resume to an online job application? Open Labs are designed for people just like you!

An Open Lab is a good place to practice the things you've learned in CTC classes. Of if you're a job seeker you can get pointers on your resume. It's a great place to get help filling out online applications or replying to Craigslist job posts. If you are mostly comfortable working on your own but think you might need a little help from our staff, stop in and check out an Open Lab!

It's never too early to look ahead and plan your upcoming week. Whether you need to fix up your resume, learn some computer skills, or try your hand at knitting, there is plenty for you to enjoy at these Fresh City Life My Branch events!

Do you think you know Colorado History? Well learn about the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Colorado history at this great program, presented by the Fairmount Heritage Foundation. Hear stories that didn’t make it into the history books about Speer, Iliff, Lowry, Elitch, and others. This event is happening at the Ross-University Hills Branch on Thursday, August 25 at 6 p.m.

Free Basic Resume Writing Class

Learn how to build a resume that employers want. 

The first hour of this course will allow participants the chance to learn basic skills in resume writing, reviewing and revising for today's job search regardless of industry and professional level.

The second hour will be an open forum used to address various questions regarding today's job market, so come prepared with your most important question. Topics for questions may include resume writing, interview skills, applications, personal marketing, job hunting resources, networking, etc. We will also take some time to review resumes.
