Back in the halcyon days of super models and designer-label-everything, Isaac Mizrahi had the fashion world on a string. He created clothes that had an almost confectionery air about them – and every famous model wanted to walk the runway for him. Unzipped is a perfect look at a fashion zeitgeist. 73 minutes. Unrated.

Her collection of pins is now the focus of a traveling show and a book from Harper Collins titled Read My Pins. The Denver Art Museum exhibits her collection this month and kicks off the show with a fun Untitled event. Fresh City Life will be on hand to bang out fresh buttons that you can wear to let the world know whether to approach with caution or step up and smile.

If you are intrigued by lace knitting and love all things Parisian, this is the workshop for you. We’re making a beautiful shawl with a very Paris motif and each week students will receive a portion of the instructions. The designer herself will be creating our weekly handouts; and on the last night, we’ll have a special presentation from one of our teachers on the proper method for blocking and finishing lace. This is a basic lace pattern, so it’s a good project for intermediate skill level knitters.
