Temari is a Japanese symbol for perfection. A temari ball given to someone represents a gift of joy and happiness. Though in their history, they were thought to have been created as toys for children, hence their name among old-timers: mother’s love ball – at some point later the craft of making them became an art form, and women of the imperial courts competed amongst themselves to create the most beautiful, most perfect version. They are exquisite. Learn the artisan method of temari balls with our expert teacher Ann Myhre. No requisite fiber skills required. Materials fee for this class will be $25, all materials provided to make one ball. This class is full, registration is closed.
