The Gathering Place

The Gathering Place is Denver’s only daytime drop-in center for women, their children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. It offers a safe daytime refuge and resources for self-sufficiency.
Among the services and items The Gathering Place provides are:
- Serving three nutritious meals per day
- Providing emergency food, clothing, and hygiene supplies
- Distributing diapers, formula, and other baby supplies
- Offering a laundry facility, nap room, showers, and lockers
- Making temporary and transitional shelter referrals
- Access to phones, voice mail, mail service, computers, and email
- Health and wellness education and screenings
- On-site visits by The Mammovan, Loretto Heights Department of Nursing at Regis University, and the 9Health Fair
- Recovery support groups
- Pro bono mental health counselors
- Financial workshops and classes
- Pro bono lawyer services
- Art programs including The Card Project, open art studio, knitting, and crochet
- GED instruction
- A computer lab
