The Gathering Place is Denver’s only daytime drop-in center for women, their children, and transgender individuals who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. It offers a safe daytime refuge and resources for self-sufficiency.
Among the services and items The Gathering Place provides are:

  • Serving three nutritious meals per dayThe Gathering Place
  • Providing emergency food, clothing, and hygiene supplies
  • Distributing diapers, formula, and other baby supplies
  • Offering a laundry facility, nap room, showers, and lockers
  • Making temporary and transitional shelter referrals
  • Access to phones, voice mail, mail service, computers, and email
  • Health and wellness education and screenings
  • On-site visits by The Mammovan, Loretto Heights Department of Nursing at Regis University, and the 9Health Fair
  • Recovery support groups
  • Pro bono mental health counselors
  • Financial workshops and classes
  • Pro bono lawyer services
  • Art programs including The Card Project, open art studio, knitting, and crochet
  • GED instruction
  • A computer lab
