Bear Valley's Mystery Book Club will be meeting on Thursday, November 17 at 6:30 p.m. Add a little more mystery to your life! Join us for refreshments and a lively discussion. Share your favorite titles and authors and catch up on new releases and other mystery news. November's title is The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie by Alan Bradley.

On Friday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m., Bear Valley is hosting a Creative Non-Fiction Workshop.
As a young but growing genre of writing, creative non-fiction presents truth and facts while using the enticing language and techniques of fiction. Like documentary film, it seeks to present stories from the real world as art. Dr. Leslee Wright, a visiting professor who teaches fiction and nonfiction writing at Metro State, invites you to attend a workshop on writing creative nonfiction. Whether you have an interest in penning your memoirs, writing humorous essays about popular culture, or diving into a biography of your family history, Dr. Wright will provide you with exercises and tips to get started on turning your real-world stories into art. Please register: 720-865-0135 or fclmybranch@denverlibrary.org.

Need to get those creative cooking juices flowing before turkey day? Try Soup’s On!, Saturday, November 19, 2:00 p.m. at the Smiley Branch. The weather may be cooling down, but you can always warm up with a pot of soup. Enjoy the preparation of some savory soups. Recipes and samples included!

Check out the complete schedule for more fun events in November and December!
