I use to get an email letting me know if a book I had on hold was in, but I am not getting the email anymore.
Is is possible your email address changed? Even if it did not, try submitting the email notification form at http://denverlibrary.org/content/email-notification-form. If this doesn't help, you may talk to someone in Circulation about it at 720-865-1325.
The site is great. All the negative feedback is really just the result of change: people never like it, and always voice it. I'm sure they're all getting used to it by now, though, and the feedback has diminished. The more time I spend on this site, the more I'm impressed.
DPL is the best, and everyone's a critic (at first).
This new web site if awful. Too busy. Too much junk. Too many pages. Stop suggesting stuff I am not interested in: new books, similar books, weird star link diagram. Stop trying to think for me. Just help me find what I am looking for and offer simple links to other related items.
You can temporarily collapse the word cloud by clicking on the white arrow next to "Advanced" in the left column. You may also click on the "Text only" link next to the search box to access a more spartan interface.
I found the new catalog search page really not user-friendly. Why not be able to enter more data than just one search item? I could not place a hold, in fact, there was no simple way to get to that which I could discern. The old system was much, much, much better. I don't care for all the clutter on the pages. Too bad, it's so much harder to use.
The new website is very, very slow! Some pages never open at all. Very difficult to find story hours at various branches. With a site that is so un-intuitive, you should at least provide instructions for locating the classes or events you need. Hate the white background & aqua lettering, which are very hard on the eyes. Don't like the appearance of the catalog results - not interested in the cloud, and what's on the right margin takes up too much space. Better to have more space to show search results. Tried to take your survey, but the right side of the survey page was cut off - not possible to expand or move a cursor to the right to see the rest of the page. Haven't seen any new features I like - prefer the old site.
Thank you for your comment and the feedback. We've hit a few rough patches with the launch of the new site, which is occasionally leading to slower loading times. We are working on that and have experienced and heard reports of much quicker load times, much more consistently. To find the events you are interested in, click on Events and Classes in the top menu bar. From there you can search by branch or keyword.
Again, thank you for your comments and patience while we transition to the new site. We are taking into account all of the feedback that we receive as we move forward.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting the old account information site up!!!!!!!! Seeing it back really made my day. It's so much better than the new account page.
Old account - YES!! Thank you!
