Yes, folks, it's technically still spring! Time for rebirth, renewal, and starting new things! The perfect time for a Fresh City LIfe My Branch event!

If you haven't been to one of Monica's fun, informative, and tasty cooking demonstrations, this is your chance! If you've tried some of the recipes from her appetizers or soups class, you know you want more! Learn to create tasty Summer Salads that will keep your family happy and healthy on Wednesday, June 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Smiely Branch.

Not quite sure what to do with your free time? Learn to give back to your community in You: Volunteering: How to Help Others and Feel Great! On Thursday, June 2 at 2:00 p.m. at Schlessman, you'll learn how to match your skills with the right volunteer opportunity and find the right organization with witch to share your time and talents. DPL employee and volunteer Chlesea Jordan-Makely will share stories from her experiences as a volunteer in Africa and here in Denver, and DPL Volunteer Coordinator Veletta Hopes will offer advice on how to get the most out of your volunteer experience. Another way to feel great, and to help our planet, is to try Bicycle Commuting! Bike to Work Day is later this month, get ready now with this class full of tips for being safe and having fun while commuting to work or school on yoru bike! Find out about route finding, what gear you'll need, and how you can exercise all year long on Saturday, June 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bear Valley Branch. Look for additional dates on our complete events schedule.

Do you have a little one in your life? Whether you're a parent, grandparent, proud aunt or uncle, or day care provider, Clelia McVay from Happy Baby Foods will give you great tips on Feeding Your Baby. She'll talk about making your own baby food, nutrition, allergies, and making sure your baby gets all the nutrition she needs to grow. Learn how to incorporate early literacy skills into your baby's mealtimes and be sure your little one is ready to read! Saturday, June 4, 11:00 a.m. at Schlessman.

Local personal finance expert Dr. Taffy Wagner will share tips for having a great summer without incurring major financial expense.
