Firefox Plugins

Want to add some Denver Public Library functionality to your Firefox browser? Try some of these tools that work within this advanced web browser and become a DPL power user!

Please note, these tools were created by a developer who is not officially associated with the Library, but wanted to make it easier and more convenient to access our catalog using the open source development tools available in Firefox. Thanks to Sean LeBlanc for creating these scripts.

DenverLibPlus 0.3

This Firefox extension allows you to automatically access your library card account after entering your library card login information. There are other customizable functions as well. See Sean's screenshot of the DenverLibPlus extension.

Download DenverLibPlus Here - Instructions for Firefox 2.0: Click the install button. Restart Firefox, then manage your settings by clicking on the Tools menu, selecting Add-ons, then DenverLibPlus Options.

Amazon - Denver Lookup 1.2.5

If you use Amazon.com to look for books, you can use this script to let you know if the Denver Public Library owns the title complete with a link to the catalog record. If DPL doesn't have the title, it will search Prospector, then WorldCat. This script also looks for CDs and movies on DVD or VHS, although not as readily as books.

Installation of this script requires three steps:
1. Download and install Greasemonkey
2. Install the Denver Lookup script
3. In your Firefox browser, click on the menu Tools -> Install User Script

More information on may be found on Sean Leblanc's Amazon - Denver Lookup page.

Please note, these downloads are only available to users outside of the Library.
