Graft: Coming Together at the Seams
Our knitting expert, Ann Myhre, from Knitty Cat, kicks off our 2013 fiber workshop calendar with a fantastic intermediate-level workshop for dedicated knitters. This 3 part, technique-focused class will expose students to not only a great pattern (mistake rib stitch), but also the craft of grafting knitted pieces together using live stitches. This creates an invisible seam that has multiple applications in the art form. In this three-night workshop students will create a faux-moebius cowl with the above skills. All intermediate knitters (confident in casting on, binding off, decreasing, increasing, knit, purl and pattern stitches) will be registered for this workshop. Materials and tools list will be sent out with registration confirmation. To register, go to denverlibrary.org/fresh or call 720.865.1206.
Mondays, February 4, 11 and 25, 5:30-7:30p, Fresh City Lounge, Level 1
