Dr. Kedrowski, mountain geographer and author of Sleeping on the Summits: Colorado Fourteener High Bivys, will talk about climbing the summits of each of Colorado's 55 fourteeners. He will also speak briefly about his experience reaching the summit of Mt. Everest in May 2012, a week after the 2nd deadliest day in Everest's history. Topics include teamwork, taking risks and climbing the proverbial Mountain of Life.

National award winning author Loren will read from her novel Theft and her essay collection Animal, Mineral, Radical. Topics include crossovers and differences in writing fiction and creative nonfiction. The author will then lead an open discussion. Loren's readings have been called "wildly refreshing, heartbreaking and hilarious, but always full of heart."

Gregory Hill was raised in Joes, Colorado and currently lives in Denver where he writes, makes music, and in his spare time, is a worker bee at the DU library. Time magazine critic Lev Grossman says of Hill's debut novel, East of Denver, "this is writing on a par with that of top-flight black-comic novelists like Sam Lipsyte and Jess Walter, and it deserves to be read."
