How to Rent Your Home

  1. Check with your insurance company. Not all homeowner's policies will cover the
liabilities incurred for a guest staying in a home.
  2. Consider the tax implications that come with earning money and remember that
    you need to report it.
  3. List your property for rent on Craigslist, RentDNC, the newspaper or best yet,
    network through friends.
  4. Create a contract that covers you legally. Be sure to get contact information and
    require a deposit.
