I've found another guilty pleasure movie! 17 Again is a fresh take on the old "grown-up suddenly becomes teenager" theme. Matthew Perry plays Mike, a washed-up, soon-to-be-divorced father who suddenly, you guessed it, is 17 again, and looks just like Zac Efron. The twist here is that Mike and his ultra-rich eccentric best friend have seen all the other "young again" movies, so the stereotypical themes are there but they're acknowledged and developed in unique ways. I have a new appreciation for Zac Efron (his acting!) and really liked the well-developed and colorful supporting characters. It's no Citizen Kane, but as guilty pleasures go, this one has a lot of heft. It's worth a look.
