Review

Drawn about the immigrant experience, The Arrival is laid out as a series of snapshots into the life of one man and the people he meets. Tan's art is gorgeous, strange, and whimsical. The world he creates is engaging, but you end up getting the same kind of disconnected feeling that I imagine a new immigrant may feel when they first arrive.
