Mack is an average kid who isn't scared of true danger, which makes him the perfect hero. When a crusty old magician appears to tell Mack he is part of a powerful group that has to save the world from an ancient evil, he's in. See, there was an ancient battle between the original Magnificent 12 and the super-evil Pale Queen. The ancients weren't good at math, so when they bound her to an underground prison for 3000 years, they figured that was forever. Now the 3000 years are almost over and a new Magnificent 12 must rise up and keep the Pale Queen from destroying the world. Add a ton of humor, a reformed bully, and a gorgeous evil princess and you have the makings of an exciting new series.
