Review

As with Captain Marvel, Volume 1, I'm enjoying getting to know this very human hero. Volume 2 finds Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel grounded--forbidden from flight by her doctor after a lesion is found in her brain. Danvers doesn't take this news well--flying is a part of her identity, not just something she does, and it takes her a while to realize what serious trouble she's in. This is also a superhero comic, of course, and there things to defeat, including a giant robot and battling dinosaurs (which interrupt Danvers taking her cat to the vet, with humorous results). Is there a super villain behind Captain Marvel's loss of powers? We'll have to wait for the next chapter to find out--I know I'll be looking for it!
