This is really a perfect Christmas movie. Although it would appear to be most entertaining to those growing up in the 50s and 60s, my kids also love watching this movie as a family each year. And it contains one of my favorite lines in movie history, as Ralphie's dad fights their problematic furnace: "In the heat of battle my father wove a tapestry of obscenities that as far as we know is still hanging in space over Lake Michigan." Let's just say, I can relate.

That was a laugh out loud segment. There were a few of those. And now I want to watch this again!
This is one of the only holiday traditions I keep, and that is watching this movie. I love it so much, it never gets old. 'Fra-Gil-ae!'
You can bet this will be on my holiday to-do list from now on!
