Review

The narrator is the young son of a politically active Libyan telling about a period when the lives of his family and neighbors deteriorated under the totalitarian rule of "The Guide." The innocent young boy tries to make sense of the events engulfing his friends and family while his parents try to shelter him from their pain and horror.
