Owen, Frank, Audrey, and Jin-Ae have their own unique problems, but they all want to deal with them in the same way--by committing suicide. They met online, but now are going to meet in person for a final road trip. Their plan: visit the gravesites of celebrities who have committed suicide, then kill themselves together in Death Valley. They call themselves The Suicide Dogs and drive from New Jersey to Massachusetts, Colorado, Seattle, and California. Along the way, some of them realize that what is missing from their lives is human connection--which they are starting to form with each other. Will these new connections be enough to stop them from fulfilling their plans? Despair, hope, and secrets are all a part of this journey.
