Review

Starring Alec Guinness as the irrepressible (and broke) Gulley Jimson, artist extraordinaire, this film, released in 1958 depicts in vivid color the often up hill struggle of modern artists. Simultaneously adored and reviled, Jimson seeks the wall that will express his penultimate mural only to be thwarted by returning vacationers, fellow artists and demolition crews. Another in a long ling of Guinness Greats. Not Rated
