Allie Brosh was catapulted into internet fame when she started the blog/semi-autobiographical webcomic titled Hyperbole and a Half. You may recognize her work in the beast known as  “Alot” or the meme “____ ALL THE THINGS!”, or more recently, her apt and candid depiction of depression. Hyperbole and a Half, a strange collection of tales, observations, and events from Brosh’s life, contains only a smattering of comics from the website itself. Brutally honest at times, self-deprecating at others, Brosh’s simple Paint sketches and gift for ridiculously dramatic storytelling make for an entertaining read. I would recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of her website as well as anyone looking to laugh at the absurdities of real life.
