Little Hoot wants to go to bed. He's so sleepy! But his parents make him stay up all night! Mama says, "Stay up and play for one more hour and then you can go to sleep." Little Hoot tries to play, but he just gets sleepier and sleepier. Daddy says, "How about a glass of water?" Finally Little Hoot is allowed to go to bed. This funny bedtime story turns around all of the normal excuses and tactics for staying up late.
