Review

History and circumstances lead to a tragedy at a checkpoint in Jerusalem and so begins this excellent, moving novel. The author weaves together the complex, personal stories of the individuals involved in the incident, the people on the periphery with a stake in the outcome, and the history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
