A fascinating look at child rearing/teaching practices previously thought to be beneficial, the authors use research based evidence to point out the harm we actually cause children by continuing in this way.  I found many of their points especially interesting because they seemed counterintuitive.  I have already changed how I deal with my own son when it comes to giving him praise and teaching about race based on the arguments presented.
