Review

Have been sampling a lot of graphic novels lately and I settled on the Odd Thomas graphic novels series reading– In Odd we trust and Odd is on our side. There’s something about Odd Thomas as a character – he just seems like a nice guy. I’ve read all of the Dean Koontz Odd Thomas books and while the later ones aren’t as good as the first ones, it’s still a good series.  These graphic novels are okay – the story moves along with enough explanation of who Odd is in both novels so you’re not lost, but I can’t say I’m crazy about the illustrations. Elvis just does not look like Elvis and there are slip ups such as Odd suddenly holding the steering wheel when it’s been his girlfriend driving and the wheel is on the opposite side.  The graphic novel is a quick read but I’d stick with the actual novel.
