Review

Pachyderme reads like a strange dream, full of subtle associations and surreal imagery that string together a puzzling narrative. It may take more than one read to understand the plot, but themes of regret, unrequited love, repressed sexuality, and desire guide the reader into making sense of the lovely art. Pachyderme is unsettling and film-like, but of a high quality and caliber, making it a conceptual, mysterious graphic novel.
