Review

Mertensia Corydalis writes a gardening newsletter and provides glimpses of her private life through the anecdotes she shares along the way. There is plenty of humor here and also a bunch of actual gardening advice. The book slows down a bit in the second half when the story starts to take center stage and we begin to see dialogue and description that is way beyond what this lady would reasonably include in her newsletter. But that's okay. It's still a fun, fast read with some great characters and a story that makes you think about how you define "family" and what it takes to keep a family together.
