Review

Jesse Ball seems to be to be a writer’s writer. He’s a good read for anyone with a love of language and semantics. This story is kind of a nonsensical, suspenseful spy-mystery story with a heavy feel of the surreal. Reading other reviews of his writing, Jesse Ball has been compared to David Lynch, Alfred Hitchcock, and Lewis Caroll; I agree with those references, but also feel he adds a contemporary feel that makes his writing distinctive.
