Review

The story centers on, Camille Preaker, a reporter who is sent back to her hometown on assignment after a young girl goes missing and another turns up dead. Returning to her hometown is less that pleasant for Camille who must face her mother and half sister.  Her relationship with her family and her small town is strained, to say the least. While helping to solve the brutal crimes, Camille learns more about her mother’s past and helps to uncover secrets hidden deep in her small town.

Although, I didn’t like the book as much as I did Gone Girl (Sharp Objects was Flynn's debut novel), I still couldn’t stop reading until the mystery was solved. I found it very entertaining (in a dark, twisted sort of way.)
