Review

This is easily Daniel Smith's most ambitious record to date. Under the moniker "Danielson" he has brought together family members and friends (including Sufjan Stevens and members of Deerhoof) to create this eclectic collection of songs. Complete with oboe, marimba, glockenspiel, and Smith's chirping falsetto, Danielson's art-rock sound is sure to offend some ears. For others, myself included, it's an incredibly exciting and rewarding experience full of musical twists and turns.
