Brit thought she was going on a family trip. She didn't want to go, but she REALLY didn't want to end up at Red Rock Academy, a "school" for teens with problems--or general rebelliousness. Brit doesn't think she's a bad kid, and doesn't understand why her father would put her here, or how she'll survive the strict rules, hard work in the hot sun, lack of privacy, or sessions of group therapy where it seems the goal is to make everyone break into tears. Brit learns to bend the rules and finds out Red Rock's secrets with the help of her new friends V, Bebe, Martha, and Cassie. When Martha's "treatment" puts her into a coma, the group decides its time to shut down Red Rock for good.
