Drew doesnt have much hope for the summer before her 8th grade year being anything special. Shes working at her mom's cheese shop (for free), dreaming of her imaginary romance with her co-worker Nick, and hanging out with her pet rat and her dead father's Book of Lists. Drews small group of friends are gone for the summer, not that she can say shell miss them much anyway. Everything changes when she encounters Emmett Crane by the dumpster behind her mom's cheese shop. Emmett isn't like anyone Drew has met before. He is a mystery she is determined to solve and he will turn her boring summer into one filled with adventure, miracles, and true friendship.
