by Lois Lowry
The Willoughby family has four children: there is Tim, the eldest; Barnaby A and Barnaby B, the twins; and Jane, the girl. There are also some disagreeable parents. The Willoughbys are a very old-fashioned family that reads lots of old-fashioned books. One day the children decide that if they were really like the children in old-fashioned books, they would be orphans, so they plot to get rid of their parents. The parents decide at the same time that they want to get rid of their children. While the parents go off on dangerous adventures, the Willoughby children are left at home with an odious nanny. Who will survive? Read this funny and old-fashioned book to find out.
